Kuşların sevdiği ıssız koy
Deniz bir kanal gibi çam ormanlarının içine giriyor,
derinliklere doğru ilerliyor, orman gittikçe sıklaşıyor ve
tam bir cangıla dönüşüyor. Datça Yarımadası’nın
Gökova Körfezi’ne bakan yüzünde yer alan Bördübet,
medeniyetten soyutlanmış ıssız bir koy. Yöre sakinleri-
ne göre, bir zamanlar bu koyda saklanan İngiliz askerle-
ri, buradaki kuşların çokluğu ve çeşitliliği karşısında
şaşkınlıklarını dile getirerek buraya “bird the bed” (kuş
yatağı) adını vermişler. Çam ağaçlarıyla çevrili koy,
ormanlık olduğundan yazın en sıcak zamanlarda bile
gölgelik ve serin. Etraf bakir, doğanın kendi sesleri
duyuluyor. Özel Çevre Koruma Alanı içindeki
Bördübet’te yapılaşma minimum düzeyde. 4 km mesa-

ACTIVITY The sea channels into the pine forests, reaches out
If you have a trusted vehicle, travel towards the deep, and the forest gradually turns into a
through Gökova by following the jungle… Bördübet, located on the part of the Datça
course of Amazon Cove-Yedi Islands- Peninsula that faces the Gulf of Gökova, is a desolate
Martı Cove-Löngöz-Karacasöğüt- cove secluded from the civilization. According to local
English Harbor. residents, the English soldiers who hid in this cove were
amazed by the variety of the bird species inhabited the
place and they named the cove ‘bird the bed’. Pine trees
surround the cove, therefore making it shady and cool

Housing is at the minimum level in Bördübet because it
is included in the Special Environmental Protection
Area. The only option for accommodation until the 4 km
away Amazon Club is the Golden Key Bördübet, which
rests among the pine trees, exuberant vegetation and
vibrant flowers where the stream reaches the sea.
