Turkish Defence Industry
We are here again with our publication prepared for IDEF 2019 which is
one of the important platforms of defence industry.
Turkish defence industry has been transforming strategically in recent
years. The sector is getting rid of a foreign-dependent structure, due to
the policies implemented for years, and is transforming into an area
which is mobilized by domestic production power.
Accordingly, the objectives are getting bigger as well. In order to enable
the exports to reach 5 billion dollars, products, platforms and systems,
with higher added value, are attempted to be produced and exported .
The objective for the defence industry which is indeed one of the
most critical sectors for Turkey is to attend among the top- most
developed 10 countries having a voice in the defence industry and
having technologic superiority throughout the world. On the way to
the 100th anniversary of the Republic, we should work hard and make
investments to reach this target .
The news headlines we have chosen for you in this issue are as follows:

In this private IDEF publication of this year, 4 years to 2023, we tried to
transmit the opinions of the public, non-governmental organizations
and companies as regards the sector’s expectations and targets. We
